Tonight's game at Founders Ale House was as fast as it was furious! Our teams were able to sort Dr. Suess creatures from cricket terms with amazing speed. Our teams kept the scores close throughout the game, and most of the rounds ended in a first-place tie. But one team conquered with brains over boldness: despite not doubling in 4 of their 5 perfect rounds, ooo stinky! ended the night smelling like victory!

However, a tie for 2nd Place sent the quiz into overtime! And the tiebreaker was lit - literally! It all came down to who could come closest to the actual number of lines in Homer's The Odyssey. Saturnine triumphed over Slutty nuns by answering with the exact number, 12,109! Who says a Classics degree won't get you anywhere?

Thank goodness Founders Ale House has the finest food and drink in Los Angeles, because the competition was so white hot, it was important to stay hydrated! Our teams wasted no time showing off their smarts, as over half of them scored a perfect 12 points in Round 1! Even as the questions got tougher, the top 3 teams remained tied! But that all changed in Round 5: decoding our Jaws-related hints, The Gene Pool doubled successfully, surging into the top 3! Their knowledge of sharks would come in handy yet again, as their Round 7 score propelled them to a 1-point victory! Congratulations also go to Our Logic Is Undeniable and Julius Caesar’s Hat for making it to the winners’ circle!

The teams at Founders Ale House always play for keeps on Trivia Tuesdays. But this was one for the record books! Our top four teams kept it close for the first six rounds. At the end of round seven, however, we had that rarest of delights: a DOUBLE TIE!!! That’s right, two teams tied for first, and two teams tied for third!

The fates of the fearless four would be decided by their knowledge of the film classic, Citizen Kane. How close could they come to the date of the movie’s premiere? Amazingly, one of our four teams answered with the exact date! Fittingly, that team, Trojans, took the win! Congratulations to Our Logic Is Undeniable for winning our second place prize! The Gene Pool won the tiebreaker for third; congratulations to them, and special thanks to Tucker carlson’s replacements for an equally impressive final score!
