QUIZ RECAP

Stunning upsets are nothing new in trivia competitions. Nonetheless, it still seemed to come out of nowhere when one of the longest winning streaks in recent memory came to an end: our Drinking Round crowned a new champion, The Olympians!

As for the main event, there was plenty of excitement at the top of the leaderboard throughout the night, as the top five teams kept the scores incredibly close. At the end of regulation, Magic school Bussy took the top prize by just one point over Where Is the Fire? in second, and third place… was a tie! By virtue of being much closer to the International Space Station (figuratively), Ghost Facers rounded out our top three!

Clearly, many of tonight's teams are nicely warmed up for League Season 16's opening game, next Tuesday at 8pm! Join us to get your league score off to a fantastic start, and to compete for our weekly prizes! Don't miss all the fun and excitement!

Tonight's game had more reversals than a quality heist film! So many lead changes! So many ties! The joys - and sorrows - of using Double or Nothing! Scoring positions shifted so much from round to round that it was kind of reassuring that Our Logic Is Undeniable won yet another Drinking Round! When the dust settled, many of our teams posted high scores - but only three would claim our prizes. Congratulations to our (possibly psychic) third place finishers, In 3rd Place; our runners-up, Cash Considerations; and tonight's champions with 82 points, Ghost Facers!

Next week brings a whole new set of challenges - and you could be the winners of one of our valuable weekly prizes! But only if you join us Tuesday at 8pm at Founders Ale House!

We threw it all at our tenacious teams tonight: Shakespeare! Mesopotamia! Cubans born in Pittsburgh! (If you know, you know.) Legend-ary video games! And a round full of Vans that would've made lesser minds crawl off to live in a van down by the river!!! The scores were high, the scores were close, but the spoils were reserved for our victorious three: X’s Brand Strategy Group, Where Is the Fire?, and Ghost Facers! And let's not forget Our Logic Is Undeniable, winning yet another Best Wrong Answer of the Game!
