25 teams converged tonight to make this the synaptic showdown of the season! They were confronted with one of our more challenging Connection Rounds, with very few teams cracking the mystery. Many of our teams bounced back, thanks to a fun twist on famous duos, plus a final round on America's favorite pies! And along with all the fun came some very high scores! The best trivia teams in the city converged at the best trivia game in the city, and the game was ready for them! Many of our teams learned some hard lessons tonight: 1. Your favorite character's last name is just as important as their first. 2. The distinction between "Dr." and "Mr." may be subtle, but in trivia, it's crucial. 3. Double or Nothing can be a harsh mistress!
But despite some setbacks, our die-hard duelists posted some impressive numbers in their hard-fought wins! In first, posting a nice final score and looking good while doing it: Less than 10 minutes away from a breakdown! In second, Badbunnies! And taking the third place prize, I don’t know! Also, Aaron is the victim (of credit card fraud) won a very competitive Drinking Round with some well-timed current-events humor! Congratulations to our winners, and to all our teams for a fantastic game!
