Founders was buzzing tonight!  Everyone was ready to flex their brain muscles and win some beer money!  White Dwarf was out to defeat the notorious Ancient Geezers and stayed tied with them all the way until the 5th round.  Pretty impressive for a one man team; you go White Dwarf!  Ancient Geezers (pictured second) did gain the upper hand over White Dwarf but at the same exact moment, The Hammer of Glory caught up to the Geezers.  The Geezers had to stay perfect to keep the Hammer of Glory from stealing their $75 bar credit.  From the 5th round on, the Hammer of Glory matched every point the Geezers put up, leading to another tie ending at Founder's Ale House.  With Look What You Made Us Do clinching third place, it was between the Geezers and The Hammer of Glory for first.  I asked a timed tie breaker question asking for the length (in seconds) of Beyonce's "Single Ladies" song.  In the speedy tie breaker, Hammer of Glory guessed 4 seconds higher than the actual length of the song, while the Geezers were well underneath it. Thus securing the Geezer's $75 bar credit.  Congratulations to all our winner's tonight!  I'll see you all after labor day!  Cheers!!

A Team Has No Name (ATHNN) came out no where tonight!  They were only at 12 points at the end of round 2 when the leader at that time was at 30!  The Ancient Geezers (pictured third) were at 22 at the end of round number 2 and yet ATHNN (pictured second) sneaked up on them and ended up tying them for second!  What a crazy sneak attack!  How did they do it?  Did they have a man on the inside?  Or did they use the Tortoise's method (slow and steady) to secure that tie?  How ever they did it, it was sure fun to watch!  Even Troop Beverly Hills Adjacent (pictured first) had a slow start, with only 15 points at the end of round 2.  You can never rule that Troop out though! They finished the game strong with four perfect rounds starting in the Guess Who Round.  Congratulations to all three teams!  Competition is sure stiff at Founders!

PS: It turns out our players were way to smart for that Katy Perry Guess Who Round. 16 out of the 20 teams turned in a correct answer for 10 points.  Boo.  I'll get ya'll next time!

Ancient Geezers (pictured first) really blew everyone else out of the water tonight!  They started out strong by doubling down in the first two rounds and then stayed consistent throughout the rest of the night.  Not only did they finish first, they were 19 points ahead of the second place team!  They put up crazy numbers!  But with that success comes consequences (AKA other teams complaining about team size).  In the past, I never had a team size limit.  The official King Trivia rule is that a team can be as big as it wants until other teams start complaining about it.  Well, it finally happened.  Ancient Geezers kicked so much ass, I think it's time to see what happens when I cut their team in half.  So, in case you didn't hear, next Tuesday there will be a team limit of 6 people max.  Just temporarily at first.  I want to give the Ancient Geezers and their co-partners a chance to prove themselves to the rest of the bar.  I am only doing this for the sake of fair competition.  Otherwise, tonight was a very fun time!  The Fingers of Glory (pictured second) and Interrobang Gang (pictured third) were neck and neck all night until the last round gave the former the advantage (naming the top 10 highest grossing R-rated films).  Both teams did their best to catch up to the Ancient Geezers but came up a little short.  Thank you to everyone that came out tonight!

Cheers!

Andy
