QUIZ RECAP

They just don't make quiz questions like they used to.  It seems like tonight's variety of questions were pretty easy to most teams.  There must have been 279 double downs (that is just a rough estimate).  Troop Beverly Hills Adjacent (pictured 3rd) came out swinging with two successful double downs in round one and two. Everyone else kind of played it safe until the 5th and 6th round, where there were numerous 20 point additions to multiple teams.  In fact, Interrobang Gang (pictured 2nd) didn't have a chance to place until they hit three double downs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh round! That was a quick 60 points that secured second place for them (and the $25 bar credit).  Our third place team tonight, You're Off the Hook, began as a team named after Hawaii's state fish Humuhumunukunukuapua.  Due to my lack of pronunciation skills, I asked that they help me out and give me something easier to say.  They obliged and went on to double down twice throughout the night clinching the round of Coors Banquet for their whole team (pictured first).  Troop Beverly Hills Adjacent did go on to win the $75 bar credit after their strong start by playing it cool to the very end.  Congratulations to all the teams that came out tonight and made the most of a Tuesday night! We're all winners for that!

QUIZ RECAP

It's been too long, Founders Ale House! The Fourth of July really got in the way of our Quiz time together! We really made up for lost time tonight, though!

Interrobang Gang! (pictured first) fell right back into their groove tonight and kept their reign as the Founders Ale House Champions! They had some pressure, however, as several teams doubled their way into contention, including But His Emails... (pictured 2nd) and Torian's Groupies (pictured 3rd). Ultimately, it came down to how many best picture Oscar winners they could match to their winning year.  But His Emails... could only get 6 when Interrobang Gang! got 8.  Both teams knew the same number of populous countries in Africa, for the last round, which helped Interrobang Gang! keep their crown for another week.

QUIZ RECAP

Round number three's "Musical Fruit" round was double down central for the majority of the teams tonight! It appears that this crowd really knows their bean associated trivia! That's my kind of people! After that double digit round, it got a little bit harder. Agatha Christie, in the guess who round, messed up everyone's mojo the rest of the night.  Only one team could spot the common bond, the hand out matching round was trickier than expected (matching artists to their less used surname), and the 7th round provided zero double downs. Scores were not as high as they've been in the past... but what is a score tell you anyways? I mean, besides the winner of the $75 bar credit.  It's only a number. Just like 35 is only a number, which is how many bathrooms are in the White House. At least the majority of teams ended up with more points than the President's bathrooms. Yay! Congratulations to us all!
