How excited are the trivia fans at Founders Ale House for the return of league play? Judging from the 25 (!!!) teams that faced off tonight, excited enough to make this Los Angeles' biggest game of the week! (Don't be jealous, Mookie, you're always welcome!) There were more acrobatics on the scoreboard than a Cirque show! And our winners, with 88 points, are Oh Geez! That's gonna leave quite a mark on our league standings!

Founders Ale House kicked off League Season 16 in sizzling style tonight! The Double or Nothing option flew fast and furious, sending teams bounding upwards and downwards on the leaderboard with every round! One team of Sebastian Stan stans took full advantage of Round 4! But nothing dazzles quite like a successfully doubled Round 7! Knowledge of Great Lakes states and provinces secured the win for Sher-People! And not only did Vodka Jesus Do? and Our Logic Is Undeniable take our 2nd & 3rd place prizes, they logged big scores for their league positions! Congratulations also to Film School Burnouts for winning the Drinking Round!

Stunning upsets are nothing new in trivia competitions. Nonetheless, it still seemed to come out of nowhere when one of the longest winning streaks in recent memory came to an end: our Drinking Round crowned a new champion, The Olympians!

As for the main event, there was plenty of excitement at the top of the leaderboard throughout the night, as the top five teams kept the scores incredibly close. At the end of regulation, Magic school Bussy took the top prize by just one point over Where Is the Fire? in second, and third place… was a tie! By virtue of being much closer to the International Space Station (figuratively), Ghost Facers rounded out our top three!

Clearly, many of tonight's teams are nicely warmed up for League Season 16's opening game, next Tuesday at 8pm! Join us to get your league score off to a fantastic start, and to compete for our weekly prizes! Don't miss all the fun and excitement!
