QUIZ RECAP

It seems like every week the Ancient Geezers (pictured) adopt some lost kids at the bar to share the glory of their winning streak.  This time, a team that called themselves "The Best Time to Wear a Striped Sweater" (TBTTWASS) saw that the Ancient Geezers were lonely and cozied up to them after round one.  It was a smart move on their part, especially since the Ancient Geezers went on to win the grand prize with an 88 point haul.  Pretty impressive, ya'll!  Maybe the Ancient Geezers taught TBTTWASS how to fish (instead of just giving the fish to them) so that they can come back next week and stand on their own.  Will the students become the master?  Tune in next Tuesday to find out!

QUIZ RECAP

For as loud as it was tonight, you'd think we were at a Justin Bieber concert.  You know, an arena filled with screaming tween girls.  Turns out it was just a company party that ran right into King Trivia time.  We DID have a Bieber Hole 69 team! If that counts for anything. Which it should.

Besides the loud distraction, tonight's trivia questions were pretty tame.  A lot of teams utilized the double or nothing option and came out with some pretty high scores.  Ancient Geezers (pictured 2nd) took an early lead and held on to it until the fourth round.  That's where Interrobang Gang (pictured 1st) took control when they turned in their correct answer to the guess who round.  Meanwhile, The Hammer of Glory (pictured 3rd) sneaked up from a very slow start and hit two double downs in the fifth and sixth rounds to clinch a 3rd place win.  The last round asked teams to relive their childhood days when games were played on tangible boards.  Who would have thought that knowing the Monopoly board by heart would pay off?!  When it came down to it, Interrobang Gang knew 9 squares one could get on the first roll (when starting at GO) and Ancient Geezers only got 7.  But all teams mentioned walked away with some very nice prizes!  Congratulations to all who won and to all those who survived the loud party.  I appreciate ya'll for sticking through it with me!  Until next time, have a great rest of the week!

QUIZ RECAP

The competition was fierce at Founders. Troop Beverly Hills Adjacent took a commanding lead early on, but that all changed with Round 5. A successful double or nothing from Interrobang Gang put them in the lead, and they stayed there through the rest of the game.

While Troop and Interro were fighting neck and neck, Ancient Geezers and Thomas Adam Couldn't Make It were quietly sneaking up and managed to edge Troop down to fourth place.

But the most important aspect of this evening was the mention of Mother Goose Rock 'n' Rhyme in the set. If you haven't seen the 1990 made-for-TV movie Mother Goose Rock 'n' Rhyme, you are missing out. Mother Goose has gone missing and it's up to her son and Little Bo Peed to find her! Join them as they travel through the many stories from Mother Goose told through song and dance from some of the greatest musicians and actors (of the 80s).
