About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

Quizmaster Yael was feeling festive tonight and encouraged everyone to play a Star Wars themed drinking game. The Keg and Hey Mommy! were able to keep their wits about them, taking home first and second places prizes.

 The weather was perfect so 50% of teams played out back while the other half stayed indoors at Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom induring Quizmaster Yael's clever wit. Even with the teams spread out, everyone who played Trivia tonight also celebrated Lizzo's birthday with a drinking game to help along with the brain busting quiz.

For a good portion of the game, solo player The Buttholes found himself in the lead. Recent dominators Cocaine Hippos had an off night and found themselves trailing, as did Hey Mommy! who eventually skyrocketed to the top before settling into 2nd place behind 3rd Most Famous Groundhogs in Pennsylvania who doubled in the challenging 7th round and finished in first.
