About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

Tonight was a wild ride! The game started off strong with many teams successfully playing double or nothing in the first round. Johnson's Johnson quickly took the lead by also playing double or nothing in the second round! However, the Trivia Livia's ended up coming from behind and really knowing their NBA championships to successfully double down in that last 10 point round! Congrats to the Trivia Livia's for clenching that first place spot! It was such a fun game!!

WOW! What a night full of TIES! We had a tie for first place and third place! For the first place tie we asked 'Hey Mommy!' and 'The Keg' how far Earth travels every day - and guess what...they both were exactly 1 million miles off - so the tie breaker question didn't even determine the winner! IT WAS WILD! Although everyone wanted the two team captains to duel - we decided the best thing to do was to split the first place prize between the two teams! Congrats to both on the win!

Do trivia nights get any better than when they end in a TIE?! Congrats to the "3rd Most Famous Groundhogs From Pennsylvania" for the 1st place win! They beat out the "Trivia-Livia's" with the tie breaker! It was truly a back and forth game all night where the top three teams were constantly changing round to round! It was a true nail-biter going in to the last round with only a 1 point spread between all the top teams!
