About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

December 11 was the busiest night of trivia we've had at Hop Merchants this year. We had new teams registering for their first team number and old teams return to test their mettle.

It rained cats and dogs during round 3 and the local puppers chimed in a few times as well.

The teams jockeyed for first place throughout the night but Team Donny managed to clinch the win.

I can't wait to see everyone in 2020!

Need to know your NHL teams? 2 Robbbs 3 Bs know them. Need help on that theme round? They can help there, too. But so can The Keg. Their choice to double down in round 3 really separated 2 Robbs 3 Bs from the rest of the teams but The Keg was right there most of the way. A key double down from We Drink and We Know Nothing in round 5 made it a battle for second and The Keg just managed to nab it with one extra point.

On Thanksgiving Eve, we had an all-things Thanksgiving quiz. It was a turkey trot for the brain! Our winners for the evening were able to double down several times! We missed a few of our regulars but had a grand old time learning more about Charlie Brown and which artist sings a song with Thank You in the title.

I know I'm thankful to host at Hop Merchants and for the great teams and bartenders we have there!
