QUIZ RECAP

What a great night for trivia! On the day before Thanksgiving, I was thankful for the high scores and loud cheers. 

The game started off really strong. All teams got 100% on Round 1 and kept fighting through Round 2. Scores were still close through Round 3 (they must all know someone named Dave). Teams kept battling the odds through Round 7. Surprisingly enough, a room full of Angelinos had the most trouble on our "Let's Make a Deal" Round -- I even heard a few players had been on the show!

Hey Mommy! quickly took the lead and held their large margin throughout the game. They made risks, took chances, and scored big! They had a smaller team this week, but apparently these are their ringers. They got one of their highest scores ever.

The other four teams continued to leap frog all game. In the end, The Keg (like the 2018 move The Meg) deserved their close second place. It was your classic "come from behind" "hero" story like in your favorite sports movies -- maybe that's why they did so well in Round 5. Their out of this (Disney)world comback was only one  point shy of  1st place. Next week when they have their whole team, I sure they will be on top. 

Hype-person of the week goes to my mom who was visiting from out of town. While she has always been my biggest cheerleader, she extended her enthusiasm to all the other teams. There are no losers in her book.

Our favorite bartender's new beer of the week was a strawberry double IPA. It comes in a pink can! Tastes like strawberries and has a 8.1% ABV...win/win.

QUIZ RECAP

What a great night for trivia! The taphouse was overrun by trivia players -- both recurring and new. Beer was flowing, burgers were cooking, and doouble downs were plentiful. 

There was no clear  frontrunner. The Keg (like the 2018 movie The Meg) came from behind to secure 2nd Place. Hey Mommy! was a two person show and managed to stay on top until the final round. But in the end, 3rd Most Famous Groundhogs in Pennsylvania took home the 1st place prize.

I am quite happy to finally know why this team is the 3rd most famous groundhog. It is way more clever than I first thought. Please Google "Gus" the Pennsylvania Lottery mascot for a good laugh and appreciation for this team. No wonder they keep winning with that clever and quick thinking.

Teams did really well through the first two rounds, but even though it was a school night, teams had trouble with the school themed Round 3. Luckily for them, they redeemed themselves with the connection round -- no soup (only sandwiches) for you!

Great job all around!!!

We had a great trivia night tonight! Hey Mommy! stayed at the top and finished first for the night. Followed by Kegs and Legs in second place and The Keg (like the 2018 movie the Meg) came in third. Thank you all for a great trivia night!
