About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom was packed with Trivia players tonight, including a full patio at back. After a couple weeks at the top, Cocaine Hippos dropped a few notches allowing Hey Mommy! to regain the top and win the night with a score of 69 points. Coming in second place were new team Wang Hyena, followed by Confidently Wrong in third.

Although not as rowdy as last week, Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom was lively as 10 teams competed, including 5 team who played from outside. Cocaine Hippos earned their second win by a narrow margin over The Keg (like the 2018 movie the meg) who took home second place. Honorable mention goes to Logan for his impressive Schwarzenegger impression reading the Round 6 lines, earning him 2 points from Quizmaster Yael.

Hop Merchants was crowded tonight, with 16 teams competing, including 4 sitting out back. Everyone brought their A-game.

Newcomers Cocaine Hippos dominated with an early lead, allowing them to hold first place through the end. Both The Trivia-Livias and The Keg were missing members of their teams, yet were able to gain momentum until ending the game in 2nd and 3rd place, respectivly.
