About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

We had a blast with our trainee Ericka tonight! And boy did we need the extra boost because it was a tough night of questions. If people were hunting for double downs, they would've left almost empty-handed, with only a few teams brave enough to check that box.

In the end, We Have A Bad Feeling about this tapped their Oscar knowledge to clinch the lead.

Our teams were smaller this week but the competition was FEIRCE. Two Robb's Don't Make a Right and the one man team of Lando Caltrivians battled it out each round, at first one team ahead and then another. It all came down to our final round and a key double down from Multiple Scoregasms blasted them up to a 2nd place win. Two Robbs Don't Make. A Right captured first and Lando just missed first place!

 

But most importantly, we all tried new beers, tested our knowledge, learned a few things and had fun!
