About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

It was an Awesome night of trivia at Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom, where Team Awesome won the night! Two teams tied for second, but ultimately Hey Mommy! won the tie-breaker question allowing 3rd Most Famous Groundhogs in Pennsylvania to snag 3rd place.

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom was packed with teams for Trivia tonight, and even had a couple teams seated outside. We Have A Bad Feeling About This and Patrick is a Delicious Wheel of Cheese were leading neck-and-neck for most of the night until nearly all the teams figured out the Connection in round 5 which upset the score, allowing The Codependency Crew and The Trivia-Livias to find their footing, overtaking Bad Feeling. 

Ultimately, Patrick (the Delicious Wheel of Cheese) held strong to first place, followed by The Codependency Crew and The Trivia-Livias.

Although the cozy taproom of Hop Merchants felt a bit empty, the teams were quite lively for trivia tonight as Hey Mommy! took an early lead after doubling the first round. They stayed on top while We Have A Bad Feeling About This clawed there way up to second, followed by The Keg in third.

Even with a couple teams bowing out through the game, the entire cohort was singing and dancing to the epic playlist provided by Quizmaster Yael. Hear it for yourself next Wednesday when the scores are wiped clean and we do it all again!
