About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

The competition was REAL tonight!! It was so exciting to see so many double or nothings happening on almost every team! I was particularly impressed with 'The Buttholes' and  'Loaded Baked Potato' for successfully doubling down on the Riot Girl Hand Out Round. You all really made PJ Harvey proud. We had a tie between 'Hey Mommy!' and 'Pank Panther' going in to the final round, and things got INTENSE! Hey Mommy! ended up taking the first place spot thanks to their NATO knowledge. Very impressive!! Make sure to join us next wednesday for another fun trivia night! If you aren't playing trivia at Hop Merchants then you are missing out big time!

Another packed house for Trivia tonight at Hop Merchants! "I thought this was speed dating", "Johnson's Johnson", and "Hey Mommy!" were neck and neck all night - sometimes only by 1 point! Hey Mommy led the pack the entire night in 1st place until the very last round where the other two top teams successfully played double or nothing knocking them to the 3rd place spot. I know they are determined to clench 1st place next week! Congrats to Hey Mommy with three successful double or nothing rounds gaining them their victory this week! Make sure to join us next week!
