About Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom

Hop Merchants Bottle Shop & Taproom is a craft beer bottle shop and tasting room. We offer 16 rotating taps of Los Angeles-area beer as well as a wide variety of bottles and cans from your favorite independent breweries, which you can purchase to go or to enjoy in-house (with $1.50 corkage).  We also have an open food policy, meaning outside food is welcome and delivery is even encouraged. It's all good!

Located in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood, California, our mission is to channel our passion for great beer, community, and create a fun, chill atmosphere for people to hang, drink, shop and debate the deeper mysteries of life...such as who would win in a fistfight between Batman and Captain America? What's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?  If the Zombie Apocalypse started today, what would be your weapon of choice?  Why are there no such thing as B batteries?  If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

Do trivia nights get any better than when they end in a TIE?! Congrats to the "3rd Most Famous Groundhogs From Pennsylvania" for the 1st place win! They beat out the "Trivia-Livia's" with the tie breaker! It was truly a back and forth game all night where the top three teams were constantly changing round to round! It was a true nail-biter going in to the last round with only a 1 point spread between all the top teams!

Yet another packed house for trivia night!! I think it is because the POPCORN MACHINE IS OFFICIALLY BACK IN ACTION!!! Teams are getting there earlier and earlier so make sure to arrive early next week to grab a good seat (and popcorn)! Plus, I heard that drinking plenty of beers before trivia always makes you smarter!! That must have been the case tonight because we had some very high scoring teams! The Codependency Crew was comfortably in first place almost the entire evening until Hey Mommy! successfuly played double or nothing in the 6th round taking that first place spot! Both teams successfuly doubled down on the last round but Hey Mommy! took the first place win! Congrats!

Yet another packed night for trivia at Hop Merchants! The questions tonight were hard for most teams but we had a few with some successful double or nothings that landed them in the top three spots! All three had three successful double or nothing rounds! 'We Can't Hear You' took first place with a whopping 76 points! But we had a TIE for 2nd place!! The tie-breaker was "what was the estimated budget of the movie Sleeping with the Enemy" and 'the Codependency Crew' guessed it right on the money!!! It is always an exciting wednesday night at Hop Merchants, make sure to join us next Wednesday night!
