About Rescue Brewing Company

We chose this location in Historic Downtown Upland because it is the heart of Upland. Our goal is to create a space that is family oriented and a place the community can come together by having a relaxing time tasting our specialty craft beers as well as strolling the shops of our neighboring retails stores. Our mission is to give back to our community.by giving a portion of our proceeds from special events, merchandise and beer sales to our local heroes....Law Enforcement, Fire Department, Military, local Charities and Animal Rescues.

The temps might have cooled down some outside, but inside, we had some heat going on in Rescue Brewing tonight. Was it the wings? The pizzas hot from the oven? Naw, it was our teams fiery hot to win tonight’s trivia challenge!

Round 1 started off with KABAM5 and Balutefisk neck and neck with successful Doubles… but that was the first and last time that would happen. KABAM5 stayed the course, and the rest seemed to have their ups and downs. While Last place but first in your hearts did win the Drinking round, it was KABAM5 that was rewarded for their efforts, brains, and determination…and won tonight’s game. Congrats!

But wait! A tie for Third Place between Smarty Pints and ConQuiztadors? Sure enough! A Tie-breaker question, with answers that were VERY close to each other… but one was just a bit closer, and so it was the winning answer…. and Smarty Pints lived up to their name and took 3rd!

I’m going to make this recap quick. After a couple weeks’ hiatus, There’s no crying in trivia returned to Rescue and… well, they made their presence know. The first two rounds had successful Doubles, and from then on out, no one could catch them. The closest a team got was 3 points away. Close… but just not close enough.

While ConQuiztadors did win the Drinking Round by showing that was no lightsaber, they were just glad to see me, it was There’s no crying in trivia that took the top spot and the game. Congrats to them!

Also, the players at Rescue are no Mariah Carey fans. Jussayin’.

Nine teams out at Rescue Brewing, ready to get their trivia on, and enjoy some great food and brew!

Starting with Round One, we had The Con-Quiz-tadors take the top spot … but not for long. As the rounds went on, it was KABAM5 and Balutefisk trading spots…

KABAM5 won the Drinking Round … but then…

BALUTEFISK DROPPED THE HAMMER!

Ten points, and a successful Double vaulted them ahead to a SOLID lead heading into the Final Round.

For Round Seven, KABAM5 got all 10 answers right but did NOT use a Double. Had they done so, it would have been a tie for the top, and since Balutefisk had already left the building, they’d have gotten 2nd place. Alas, wasn’t the case.

Congrats to Balutefisk for keeping the lead and winning the game!
