Tonight was quite the Bermuda Triangle at trivia tonight. With nine teams competing, you’d think we only had three: Balutefisk, There’s no crying in trivia, and The Con-Quiz-tadors….all trading first and second place… round and round, over and over….
…and honestly, they were nauseatingly PLEASANT about it! All golf clappy at each other, congratulating the other teams for their fine fine performance.
I kinda felt a little sick to my stomach. Come ON, people! Where’s the battle to the death? The Thunderdome? The taste of the jugular? I mean… at LEAST hurl a tater tot at someone!
The game went on like this… on and on…
…and then, what’s this? Round 7, we had an upset: The Gentleman’s crown & coke not only entered the ring, but upended the game’s niceties!

A successful Double on Round 7 stole the top spot and the game… so congrats to them! Well done!
Also, congrats to the Dodgers on winning the World Series! Sorry you couldn’t claim the Series win at home, but glad you did at all!

Tonight was a chasing night. There's No Crying In Trivia took an early lead off a 2nd round double down and really never looked back. A few teams attempted to topple them, including Show Me Your Pitties who had a late double down to move them within striking distance. But the champs just kept going and took the top score for the night. Congrats to KABAM 5 for the 3rd place finish and also to the B-Sharps for flexing their back to the future knowledge during our drinking round. They won a set of free tasters.
This was an exciting game tonight. With ten teams competing tonight, there was lots of opportunity for teams to shuffle around…and boy, did they!
Round one let everyone know we had teams wanting to win. With a whopping SIX out of ten teams successfully using a Double, the stage was set for some fierce competition. From there, we had teams jockeying around… and at one point we had KABAM5, There’s no crying in trivia, and Don’t Think, Just Do all occupying the top spot all by themselves.
After a Drinking round where There’s no crying in trivia loved giving me Kisses (69 million of them), the game continued, and… wait, what’s this? The Gentleman’s crown and coke got a Double on BOTH Round 6 AND Round 7, denying all other teams of the top spot, and taking it for themselves. Congrats to The Gentleman’s crown and coke for winning tonights game!
