Nine teams out at Rescue Brewing, ready to get their trivia on, and enjoy some great food and brew!

Starting with Round One, we had The Con-Quiz-tadors take the top spot … but not for long. As the rounds went on, it was KABAM5 and Balutefisk trading spots…

KABAM5 won the Drinking Round … but then…

BALUTEFISK DROPPED THE HAMMER!

Ten points, and a successful Double vaulted them ahead to a SOLID lead heading into the Final Round.

For Round Seven, KABAM5 got all 10 answers right but did NOT use a Double. Had they done so, it would have been a tie for the top, and since Balutefisk had already left the building, they’d have gotten 2nd place. Alas, wasn’t the case.

Congrats to Balutefisk for keeping the lead and winning the game!

QUIZ RECAP

Count ‘em …. We have twelve teams competing tonight. I can’t say they were cutthroat in their desire to win. Did they want to win? I’m sure they did… but would they stop at nothing to do so? Ehh, not so much. Pretty sure it was the ah-MAY-zing chicken taquitos Rescue had coming out of the kitchen tonight. They were 🔥 !

I digress.

The teams started off mellow, with no teams attempting any Doubles.

Round Two players had an advantage if you had an affinity for our neighbors from the Great White North. Especially fictional ones. And amazing how many people don’t remember Dudley Do-Right!

And then… the heat was turned up a notch. Teams got more aggressive. Took the questions more serious. Attempted Doubles.

The last two rounds we had a few Doubles being thrown down to really stir things up!

In the end, and making a major play in the last two rounds was Happy hour hero’s.. TWICE using Doubles success . How they knew all 10 answers for Round 7, I’ll have no idea...but congrats to them and their win!

QUIZ RECAP

Tonight, thirteen teams were looking forward to get their trivia on — New teams, seasoned teams, and teams just happy to be back.

While the rounds were what I’d call the usual level of difficulty, we seem to have most teams playing it safe. Most teams, except There’s no crying in trivia… who from the very start just couldn’t resist using that Doubles feature…and they used it well. They were in the zone and double after double kept on extending their lead. Finally we had some other teams waking up to the fact that the Doubles function existed, but it was too little, too late.

Congrats to There’s no crying in trivia for taking checkered flag with a solid win!
