About Rescue Brewing Company

We chose this location in Historic Downtown Upland because it is the heart of Upland. Our goal is to create a space that is family oriented and a place the community can come together by having a relaxing time tasting our specialty craft beers as well as strolling the shops of our neighboring retails stores. Our mission is to give back to our community.by giving a portion of our proceeds from special events, merchandise and beer sales to our local heroes....Law Enforcement, Fire Department, Military, local Charities and Animal Rescues.

Such a fun night, and great to be back with everyone at Rescue Brewing! Eleven teams (and a good handful of new teams) here to have fun!

  • KABAM5 took an early lead, successfully using a DOUBLE on Round 1 . They were the team to beat all throughout the game.
  • Took a break for the Drinking Round where The B Sharps won the Hi/Lo game and further realized tonight was a bad night to give up drinking.
  • ...but back to the game, and Round 6, the upstart Abby Normal did what no other team could do-- took the lead from KABAM5 (Jeez, do they know their theology or what? DAMN!)
  • The final round, and no one could retake the top spot. Congrats to Abby Normal for the win-- nice accomplishment for a first-time playing team!

Summer is in the air here in Southern California, and it was evident by the fun moods all around at Rescue Brewing last night. The teams were ready to give it their all not only with trivia, but with the drinking round game as well....which in true summer fashion included red solo cups and a ping pog ball. It was a tight race for first with KABAM5 walking away as winners by one point.

There is just something great about hosting at a local brewery where teams come week after week. They know each other, they know the bartenders, and sometimes they even know me. It made the vibe last night feel like one big family bbq.

Seven teams joining us... all starting their Memorial Day weekend VERY early. We had a fun-loving crowd tonight, and a great mix of seasoned, teams, brand new teams, and those feeling like they didn't know a thing but just wanting to give it a try.

I don't think we had a single Double attempted tonight. Instead, our teams played it slow and steady...  doing some shuffling of rankings throughout.

The drinking round took a pause to honored our fallen troops for Memorial Day... and the 52% BBQing this weekend. Tongs up, and congrats to The Con-Quiz-Tadors for winning that round!

In the end, it was There’s No Crying in Trivia that took the checkered flag and the $1 pints!  Congrats to them!
