On this Valentine's Day night, we had 12 teams coming out to join us to fall in love....with seven rounds of questions put together by the Great King Trivia Powers That Be. The delicious brew flowed at Rescue, and the teams got ready to play!
After Rounds One and Two, There’s no crying in trivia and Balutefisk were neck and neck... and then, There’s no crying in trivia did the "see you at the finish line" wave to all the other teams and... there was a cloud of dust. The distance between them and the rest of the teams just widened and widened and widened!
For the Drinking Round, we did learn something about some of our Rescue bar staff, whom we all adopted as our valentines for the night. Last Two Brain Cells seemed to know them best, because that team won!
Back to the game, after a final round leaving us hungry for pizza, we awarded the top prize to .... yes, you guessed it, There’s no crying in trivia!!! CONGRATS!

On this soon to be rainy night in Upland, fifteen teams were in a fun fun mood-- ready to get their trivia on, enjoy the libations at Rescue, and maybe even win some stickers! 😛
Four teams got a perfect double score after Round One... but after that, the teams quickly spread. B Sharps, Burn her house down, and The Con-Quiz-tadors traded off the top spot, and even going into the final round, those last two teams were tied! Oooo, who shall emerge victorious? Well, it may depend on which heat we're talking about.
Let me break down some facts...
1) The Con-Quiz-tadors won the Drinking round
2) The Con-Quiz-tadors won the top spot (by one point-- ouch)
...and 3) England is not the same as Great Britain
Now, for the #3 spot, There’s no crying in trivia and Irish I were drunk went toe to toe to break the tie, and to win some very cool stickers as their prize.
Fact 4) No one knows the square footage of Turkey.
But playing by Price Is Right rules, Irish I were drunk came out ahead, and took the #3 spot (and the stickers).

Seven rounds of questions-- questions that seemed to be challenging in different ways. Is it Ice-T or Iced Tea? Was it the commercial IN Toy Story, or a just a character that appeared in the movie? Why does Texas have so many flippin' counties? Teams battled through these challenges, while also celebrating Alex' near 2500 days working at Rescue!
Congrats to The Con-Quiz-tadors who finally stole the lead back from The B Sharps to take the win (At least The B Sharps took the Drinking Round, so there's that...)
