The competition was fierce at King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing this week, where eight teams vied for the glory of trivia victory across seven rounds of trivia about candy colors, Stephen Hawking's career, fictional pets, and more! Teams were evenly matched last night, with teams taking over one another with one- or two-point score leads after ever every round. In the end, Sultans of Swing finished in third place at 43 points, scoring two beer coupons each worth $5 off an IPA, porter, sour, or any of the delicious brews on tap at Shadow Grove Brewing! Every member of Group B got to take home a beer coupon thanks to their second place victory at 45 points. Not one to live up to their names, team Probably Won't Actually Play eked out a first place victory at 46 points, scoring a whopping FIVE beer coupons for a total of $25 off beer. Congrats to all the players! King Trivia returned to Shadow Grove Brewing on Thursday night for seven new rounds of trivia, testing ten teams on their knowledge of fast food burgers, Bridgerton's Penelope Featherington, hit songs, and horses for the chance to score discount coupons on any beer on tap at Shadow Grove! Despite a third place lead at 41 points, team The Cuties were nowhere to be found to claim their victory at the end of the night, taking us into a tiebreaker between Fresh Princes of San Fernando and Ears Not Sorry for the spot. With a guess of 750 million, team Ears Not Sorry claimed the spot with the closest guess to how many Spanish speakers live on our planet (it's 499 million!), scoring two beer coupons. Meanwhile, Prince PJ and The Puffs nabbed the second place win at 45 points, leaving the night with three beer coupons. But Burger Of The Day continued their winning streak with a first place victory at 48 points, grabbing a total of $25 off beer at Shadow Grove for their impressive win.
