QUIZ RECAP

After a year and a half away, the prodigal son has returned to Barney's West Hollywood. And our players were there in force to greet him - and play some trivia.

It's been a year. But here we are. Back where it all began. Eating jalapeno poppers, drinking IPAs and trying to sus out when in time the Olympics would have taken place. The Quizzlypuffs, Tea Lizards, and hail hydra! all returned to the fold with something to prove and they ouplayed, outlasted and outperformed the other teams - until the second half of the game when newcomers East Coast and Three's Company weaponized their double or nothing strategy to swoop in and claim the two top prizes. 

Trivia looks a little different when you're playing on your phone but we're back, we're in person, we're playing as teams again, and the Who Am I? still remains the toughest of the seven. It's really like nothing has changed.

QUIZ RECAP

We learned an important fact about King Trivia at Barney's Beanery tonight - when our teams are at a loss for the correct answer, they will write very rude things about Sylvester Stallone.

The lead changed several times before a successful Round 6 Double put zooz on top despite a strong challenge from Hail hydra! in Round 7.

See you all next week when Mr. Stallone may be on hand to exact his revenge upon you. Stop! or his mom will shoot.

QUIZ RECAP

Sure, Jeopardy has new hosts with fancy dressing rooms and big paychecks, but do they get to host King Trivia at Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood? I hope not. I like it here.

The competition was incredibly fierce - going into Round 7, 9 of our 15 teams were still fighting for a Top Three finish!

Second place was decided when Space Godzilla defeated The Kids Table in a decidedly un-LA tie breaker.

But no one could catch Tea Lizards, who won the night after racking up five perfect rounds.

Will I have to fight the host of Match Game '76 for the honor of being your Quizmaster? No, he died in 1999. See you next week!
