It was Canada Day five days late during King Trivia at Barney's Beanery tonight. But "O Canada" turned into "Oh Dear, Canada" when not a single team was able to identify the greatest Canadian of all time, Tim Horton. A man so important, my hometown erected a statue in his honour. But I shall move on from this heartbreak.

Quizzlypuffs rode a successful Double Or Nothing in Round 1 all the way to an overall victory. Also, Tim Horton won the Stanley Cup four times with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Hail hydra! was the top scorer in two rounds, leading to a strong second place finish. Also, Tim Horton scored 518 points in 1446 NHL appearances.

Definitely Cheating knew every answer in Rounds 1 and 3, helping them grab third place after winning a tiebreaker against Covid Brain Fog. Also, Tim Horton is the only NHL player to have two different retired sweater numbers.

Can't wait to see everyone again at Barney's Beanery next Tuesday at 9pm! Feel free to suggest which hockey player I should obsess about in next week's recap.

"Free Brittany!" answered one of our teams to a question about Porky Pigs's famour catchphrase. Sorry, Blondetourage, but Brittany has been part of France since 1532 and will remain so.

It was so exciting and thrilling and lovely to bring King Trivia back to Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood for the first time in 83 years (I may be exaggerating, but am I?). Thanks to all the teams who joined us in this brave new world of trivia.

Touched By an Uncle took the lead after the Picture Round and never looked back. Hail hydra! kept it close with strong performances in the late rounds. Sabrina the Teenage Bitch declared their love for British quiz shows by misidentifying Dua Lipa as Victoria Coren Mitchell.

See you all again next week when the microphone won't be dusty after 15 months under the pool table!
