Players' scores were all close together tonight, making for a match that was anyone's for the taking! Two teams even ended the game with a tie score that required breaking to decide who would take second and who would take third place. General Washingtons needed no such split to claim victory in the Drinking Round, while TBD needed only to change their initialism each round to win the game as a whole.

It is commonly joked that people hate going to see the dentist. For me, this couldn't be further from the case. I love it now, and I've loved it since I was three feet tall, as evidenced by the fact that when I received my first ever suit the very first place that I wore it was to my dentist at the time (Hi Dr. McCartney!).

So when, during hosting a night of trivia, I saw a familiar face walk into the area of play and point a camera at my face, I was thrilled to be able to tell everybody that the man who professionally maintains my smile was in the room (Hi Dr. Poon!).

As for the reason that the rest of the room was in attendance -- TRIVIA! -- we had a dynamic night that included a shifting top three and a come-from-behind story for one of those teams. Not only did The Mules take second place, they also demonstrated their civic engagement by naming the most cities in Los Angeles County to win the Drinking Round. Meanwhile the Bandurwagon came back from a failed double to snag third, while the General Washingtons used the final two rounds to solidify an imperious lead.

Welp, always have to say it, because it's always true: I love hosting where I play. I mean, I'm gonna be there anyway, why not sub?

We had five teams and one dropped off after round 4 (just barely missed the drinking round, aw...). For the drinking round I had the teams send a rep up and they competed physical challenge style to see who could most quickly eat a spicy fruit by the foot with no hands. NWA (Nerds With Answers) won the round and also the night, with Flux Capacitors taking second and TBD taking third.
