With the bar decorated and packed, teams took refuge from the cold rain and helped themselves to a full plate of hot competition. From newcomers to familiar regulars, one and all celebrated the final night of trivia at Tam O'Shanter for the year of 2019. General Washingtons and Flux Capacitors competed closely for the whole game, coming in with a tie during the Drinking Round (name as many types of shrimp that Bubba mentions in Forrest Gump). The Washingtons were successful in the tie-breaker, but were edged out by the Flux Capacitors for first place in the game. Meanwhile, O'Trivia Newton John solidified the Tam as their trivia home by finishing in the top three for their third week running.

With one more week of trivia to go at the Tam in 2019, the venue is already set a-sparkle with holiday lights and cheer. Despite the festive decorations, trivia teams wore their warpaint in a game that saw multiple reversals of fortune at the top. A tie-breaker in the Drinking Round saw Argentum best the Flux Capacitors, who ended up taking second place overall. Last week's winners - albeit with a different name - O'Trivia Newton John found themselves in second for the night, while N/A had a score good enough to win the game no matter what their name.

As the nights grow longer while we approach the festive season, trivia players huddle together to pool their warmth and their brains. Twas no exception at the Tam O'Shanter this night, where Twas the Night Before Impeachment triumphed in a census-based Drinking Round and went on to claim bronze in the night's overall game. Meanwhile, though the General Washingtons held the lead for much of the game, they fell to second place in the second half. Victory was claimed by a team of newcomers, whose luck at the Tam seems to be less than their luck with technology, for the handle for their winning group was My Apple TV Refuses to Update!
