- PUB QUIZ—Tuesdays @ 7:00pm
As the hills grow green with the wet kiss of spring upon the land, your Quizmaster's thoughts are often moved to The Shire of Tolkien's creation. Such escapist reveries led to the creation of the night's Drinking Round, wherein the Flux Capacitors proved their worth as a fellowship, naming more characters from the Lord of the Rings trilogy than any other challengers in the land. And with that information delivered, I shall diminish, and pass into the West.

Isn't it freaky when a trivia round has a theme that shares its origin with the name of a team? The Flux Capacitors possibly pondered such a mystery in the Back to the Future themed Find the Connection round, which they aced. The General Washingtons, however, were able to accomplish that rare feat of triumphing doubly, knowing the most popes for the Drinking Round, and knowing the most other things for the trivia game at large. May the rest of their birthday week (two of them in the Washingtons [I might add that those two are married]) be as merry!

While some might be impressed, and rightly so, by the way that The Flux Capacitors shot from third-most to most points in the final round with a successful double down...the real story here is that Lowest Score Wins prophesied their own fate with their very name. Difficult to say now just who won this game, but your humble Quizmaster certainly felt like a winner after returning from a two week absence. Until next week, when we steel our stomachs for the approaching culturally excusable day-drinking holiday!
