QUIZ RECAP

On a packed night back at the Tam following a break to honor both Robbie Burns and haggis, play was exciting from end to end, with tight scores and two ties. The first tie came in the Drinking Round, where Aggressive Foreplay and General Washingtons knew an equal number of manned spacecraft; the Generals' superior guess as to the distance at which the ISS orbits the Earth won them the drinks.

Further proof of the General Washingtons' powers came when they bested the Flux Capacitors in a tie breaker question to decide second place. Meanwhile, Aggressive Foreplay completed the game with a one point victory.

Neither rain, nor (presumably) sleet nor snow nor gloom of night stays these cranial warriors from the drink-filled completion of seven trivial rounds, and they proved it on a night that was most decidedly wintry. Well, LA-wintry.

As for the game, Aggressive Foreplay and Trashley Wards finished with identical scores, forcing a tie-breaker question before the win could be claimed on a question for which both teams had great expectations. It was, however, after a close brush with a most Dickensian-looking character that Aggressive Foreplay found the inspiration and determination to clinch domination for the night.

First trivia at Tam for 2019! Regulars rejoiced at the long-awaited return of the game, with Trashley Wards winning top honors. Meanwhile, Flux Capacitors' oh-so-useful knowledge of Third Eye Blind secured them a round of beverages!
