About Strand Brewing Co

Founded with the support and love from friends and family in 2009, Strand was one of the first craft breweries in Los Angeles County.

Strand is not only proud to represent the beginning of the craft beer movement in LA, but the future of it as well. The brewery is located on the southern coast of Los Angeles County, nestled amongst the sleepy beach communities collectively known as The South Bay.

Strand Brewing Company is owned and operated by lifelong friends Rich Marcello and Joel Elliott.

We had a great time playing on paper and the manual labor of walking to my podium didn't keep anyone from having a WONDERFUL time!

Kudos to everyone for patience during a glitch, and I LOVED having your smiling faces approach me after each round! We came, we saw, and we conquered!

In the end, Stranded regulars came through with third place, Foursum took second, and masterminds of Mr. Poopybutthole snagged the first place spot.

Highlights included me wearing a Snuggie, Stranded bringing a naked torso, and Dominguez submitting a beautiful giant question mark in response to Round 7!

HELLO OLD FRIENDS - some of these teams who appeared out of the ether to play tonight I had not seen in a long while - welcome!!!

Of course, the brainiacs of Bart Fell Down a Well SWEPT the show - but not without putting up a fight! Tipsy McStaggers brought their least tipsy-most brainy game and had the second place no problem. Team *dolphin noises* may have challenged me a bit by making me "eeeek" out dolphin sounds with every score update, but they did earn it by taking home the third place prize!

It was a spooky, delightful evening of trivia! Pre-Halloween teams came to win and we had some close calls with no real winner determined until the end.

To make matters more intense, there was an additional prize at stake: the funniest answer of the evening won a pumpkin - and not just any pumpkin, this pumpkin was decorated by @spookyharris and by myself! The winner was Mr. Poopybutthole, who very wrongly guessed Plankton from Spongebob Squarepants was named "Sea Pickle".

They did end up taking first place, despite their terrible Plankton answer, and they were closely followed by Foursum and Tipsy McStaggers. GG EVERYONE!
