QUIZ RECAP

Thank for letting me be your substitute QuizMaster for the week -- what a big, open-air venue with a view of the beautiful sunset. Our semi-pro trivia players Two Stooges landed in 1st place after a couple successful Doubles, with We Suck At Trivia falling just behind in second. Pandamonium successfully Doubled in the final round, allowing them to grasp on to 3rd place.

Kudos to WSAT for also winning the 6-Pack Challenge by knowing many of the TV show theme songs! But of course the award for My Favorite Team goes to Carnage Asada -- not only is that an epic name, but your enthusiasm remained top notch despite your continually low scores... You're a fun bunch, never change!

QUIZ RECAP

Another awesome evening of King Trivia at Strand Brewing Co. It was a warm evening but very pleasant conditions inside.

& terams in the hunt and they all got off to a slow start. It wasn't until Round 3 that things started to get exciting. In this round the answer for each question/statement had to be a homynym. 4 of the 7 teams (Les Quizerables, TriviAmigos, We Suck At Trivia and Los Pollos Locos all doubled correctly and began separating themselves form the pack. Had a fun beer round with a game called "Suck The Card". Involves a business card and straw and some healthy lungs. In the end Les Quizerables really sucked and took home the prized free brew!

From that point the 4 were joined by We Drink And Know Nothing and the battle for 1st was on. One of our regulars Great Minds Drink Alike never really got on track and had to play catch up but wound up in last with 29. They will regroup I'm sure. In the end all 7 teams turned in their pens for the bonus 2 points and Les Quizerables took first by 4 points.

As always so nice to have our regulars with us and even nicer to have new teams joining in the fun.

Next week I will be on vacation but the fun will continue with a sub Quizmaster who I'm sure will do a great job.

QUIZ RECAP

Boy Round 1 can take awhile to get though when there are 10+ teams, phew! Gotta get better at having teams give me their names/numbers before we get started to help speed it up.

We started with 13 Teams and 9 of them newbies! Once we got through Round 1, we were off to a great game. 2 of our regulars, Crew Without a Clue and We Drink And Know Nothing once again proved they are big fat liars cause they both doubled, correctly in the first 2 rounds! Another of our regulars Two Stooges also doubled correctly in Round 2 and we had a nice battle brewing at Strand Brewing Co. (see what I did there 🙂

For the beer round I had the teams draw a caricature of yours truly and we had some very creative entries for sure. 3 MuskABeers however was the clear winner and took home the fresh brew. Check out the picture I attached it's awesome and hanging on my fridge as we speak. Honorable mention the Crew Without A Clue for portraying me as my sidekick 1st place trophy, Iron Man. It was fun looking at all the entries.

Heading into Round 6 one of our newbies, Los Pollos Locas it interesting by doubling correctly in Round 5 for a huge 20 points pitting them in a strong 3rd. Digbutt Is The Portkey and Two Stooges were also hanging tough and still in the mix going into Rd.7

In the end We Drink And Know Nothing edged out Crew Without A Clue by 1 point to take the coveted picture with Iron Man and the $30 gift certificate to Strand Brewing. Sam's Family had a nice game and always a please having them with us.

What to do for the beer round next week, hmmmmmm.
