QUIZ RECAP

Another fun night of KingTrivia at Strand Brewing Co. with 8 teams in the mix. One team had to leave early so we wound up a 7 team contest. We also had an aspiring Quiz Master with us, Keenan, who did a nice job presenting Round 3 to the teams.

All were pretty even until Guess Who came up. 4 teams submitted wrong answers but Pandemonium got it on the 10 point clue putting them in control. They played steady for the remaining rounds and all that was left was who was gonna be 2nd and 3rd. As luck would've have it we had to go to the tiebreak question to determine that and Foursome wound up in 3rd and Just 2 Guys Being Dudes took 2nd. All got Strand gift certificates and all had a fun time.

QUIZ RECAP

The joint was jumping and 10 teams showed up for a great night of KingTrivia at Strand Brewing Co. Feliz Catering was also in the house, serving up their delicious wood fired pizza.

In Rd.1, 2 teams doubled successfully and then in Rd. 2, 5 teams did the same so we were off to a good start. It was a pretty even match heading into Rd.5 but team Gattaca was at the bottom of the pack behind by 22 points. But no surprise, they doubled and nailed it, then got them all right in Rd.6, to put themselves in a great spot to take first. 2 of our other regulars were having an off night, however Whiskey Glasses doubled correctly in Rd. 6 and also put themselves in contention.

For the beer round we played the Vanilla Wafer challenge were you place the wafer on your forehead and without using your hands, get it into your mouth. Most teams dropped out pretty quick but 3 players were doing great and in the end the player from Gattaca actually got it in his mouth to take home the free Strand brew.

Heading into Rd.7, 8 teams all had a good shot at winning but in the end Foursome, helped with getting 2 extra points for being registered, took 1st place. Gattaca gave it a strong run and took 2nd and Riviera got 3rd. All got Strand gift certificates and it was a fun night.

QUIZ RECAP

7 registered teams and 5 newbies showed up at Strand Brewing Co. last night ready to battle for IronMan. All teams got off to a great start and 3 teams successfully doubled in Rd. 2 putting themselves ahead of the pack.

In preparation for the beer round, I gave each team a sheet of paper to make their best paper airplane. Well, I wound up having to hand out extra sheets cause teams were flying them around all night to get their design right, it was quite fun to watch. Had some pretty good distance flyers and of course a couple that went backwards! The Misfits had the most impressive flight and took home the free brew.

Had some very funny incorrect answers as well which are always fun to share with the group. In the end only 2 of our registered teams made it into the top 3. It was an off night for Gattaca, The Other Bar Was Full, Uniballers and New Year More Beer.

3 teams had a shot at first place heading into the final round but Choke Me Harder Daddy hung tough and won it by 3 points. They also qualified for the Tournament Of Champions so double congratulations to them. Foursome came in 2nd and The Misfits, who were just 3 people hanging out at the bar came in 3rd. Katie the Strand brew master convinced them to play so a big thank you to Katie. Thanks to Strand Brewing Co for providing gift certificates to all the winners.
