About Strand Brewing Co

Founded with the support and love from friends and family in 2009, Strand was one of the first craft breweries in Los Angeles County.

Strand is not only proud to represent the beginning of the craft beer movement in LA, but the future of it as well. The brewery is located on the southern coast of Los Angeles County, nestled amongst the sleepy beach communities collectively known as The South Bay.

Strand Brewing Company is owned and operated by lifelong friends Rich Marcello and Joel Elliott.

What an UPSET this week was! The questions must have targeted some nooks and crannies because the scores were all over the place and it was an unknown battle until the very end. 

Gently took home the first place prize with Test-Eaze right on their heels. We did have to run a tiebreaker for third, though!

Despite only having TWO members instead of their regular tablefull, TheOtherBarWasFull must have had their smartiest smarties present because they made it to that tiebreaker AND won it!

What a fantastic turnout for this night of trivia! We had a full house with stiff competition as the game boiled down to Round 7 to determine the winners. 

Sam's favorite swept the win with 76, while gently was not far behind. Calmer Than You Are took third.

It was fun having so many fresh faces join us for trivia, and I hope many return to play our Wednesday night game! 

There was a startling number of ties as well this evening, with three different teams ending with the same score - a rare sight to behold! Alas, none were in the top three, so my tiebreaker question remained hidden. Maybe one day in the near future...

After some tough rounds on September 1st, our teams sure had a break this week with easy rounds and high scores! I haven't seen a team exceed the 90 point mark in some time now!

Female rappers, famous losers, and playing cards stacked up the teams to huge scores within the first rounds. Only in the final two rounds did we get down to the nitty & gritty: turns out my teams need to brush up on their SNL and their art history! The "most expensive paintings" question had EVERYONE stumped and not a single team got all the artists.

With a whopping 93 points, Tipsy McStaggers took home first. Mr. Poopybutthole was a VERY close second with 92. Regulars Gently came in with a commendable 90.
