About Strand Brewing Co

Founded with the support and love from friends and family in 2009, Strand was one of the first craft breweries in Los Angeles County.

Strand is not only proud to represent the beginning of the craft beer movement in LA, but the future of it as well. The brewery is located on the southern coast of Los Angeles County, nestled amongst the sleepy beach communities collectively known as The South Bay.

Strand Brewing Company is owned and operated by lifelong friends Rich Marcello and Joel Elliott.

A lovely start to September had a great showing of 16 teams!

We enjoyed rounds 1 and 2, which were easy peasy for most groups, but round 3 was met with less success! The Late Night Host question for round 6 was also a tough one, but the final round of the cabinets was the real kicker. Few teams managed to guess more than 5! 

In the end we had to call in a tiebreaker for first place - Gently stole the show with a closer guess.

What a wonderful, Robert "Hello-Kitty" Redford filled evening it was at Strand Brewing Co. ! 17 teams brought their all to the table and duked it out in a battle of wits the like's of which this Quizmaster regularly encounters. Through questions ranging from ginger (not to be confused with the Spice Girl) to Naomi Osaka, one team came out on top!

Our winners were Mr. Poopybutthole in 1st, Tipsy McStaggers in 2nd, and The Other Bar Was Full in 3rd!

A great night of trivia was had on 18 August, despite the dreary weather! There were smiles and beers had all around - cheesy!

There was no grand destroyer this week as far as trivia placing went - it was anyone's game! It wasn't until the 5th round that TheOtherBarWasFull doubled and took a strong lead over the others, and then continued to whoop hiney with ANOTHER successful double in round 6. Gently, gently, gently... nice came in third and right behind them was We're at Sam's Favorite Brewery.

I was most impressed by everyone's knowledge of Don Vito Corleone's children and the six "Three Stooges" - round 7 is typically tough, but y'all came with your A-games.
