Another fun night as always, at Strand Brewing Co. in Torrance. Had a bunch of new players and of course some of our regular teams come to play. We also had a beautiful Akita named Rookie show up, check out the pictures a beautiful dog.
Round 1 and 2 saw Crew Without A Clue once again prove they have more than a clue by doubling correctly in both rounds to jump out to comfortable 8 point lead. By Round 4 though, 5 of the 8 teams were in contention and the fun continued.
For the beer round we broke out "Stick The Landing" and as always the lead and cups were flying. In the end Crew Without A Clue stuck the landing on the first pencil in the final and took home the coveted free 6 pack of delicious Strand Brew and a good time was had by all.
Heading into the final round 5 teams were in the running thanks to some strong late round play by Team USA and Two Stooges. In play were the 2 extra points for turning in the with the score sheet and although it wasn't a factor, I got to point the finger and mock 2 teams for not doing so which is always fun.
Crew Without A Clue proved to be our winner and played a very consistent game all the way through. TriviAmigos got 2nd and one of our newbies Team USA got 3rd. All got a very nice gift certificate to Ragin Cajun restaurant a very nice way to end the evening.

Another very fun night of KingTrivia at the awesome Strand Brewing Co. in Torrance. On top of hosting our Trivia games, Strand has all kinds of games for patrons to play like Corn Hole, Ping Pong, Shuffleboard and a bunch of board games to play. I highly recommend this brewery when you are looking for a fun time.
Lots of good energy and started out with 11 teams. 7 registered teams stuck it out and survived and it was great battle.
Round 1 proved to be fairly easy for the group and saw 5 teams double successfully and we were off to the races. That was the end of the doubling however as the remaining 6 rounds were flat out tough. The exception was the eventual winner, Two Stooges. They doubled and missed in Round 2 but made up for it by doubling successfully in Round 3 and getting the Guess Where round on the 10 point clue!
The beer round brought out the engineering skills in all the teams as I had them craft paper airplanes to chuck down the runway. Uniballers took the honors and threw a beauty that sailed about 40 feet or so. We sustained 2 casualties as members of both Uniballers and Sam's Family took an airplane to the shoulder! Thankfully all survived with no injury and play went on.
Heading into the final round, Two Stooges had a 4 point lead with the remaining teams all within striking distance. All had a very decent round but couldn't catch the winners. Crew Without A Clue once again proved they do indeed have a clue and placed 2nd. TrivAmigos finished 1 point behind to take 3rd. Great Minds Drink Alike had their 1st place streak of 4 broken and finished with a respectable 45. Another of our regulars, Sam's Family had a nice game and Sam had another dog buddy show up to keep him company.

Well, we had 6 teams start and 6 teams finish. So nice to see some new players and so glad they all played till the end.
Right off the bat, the 3 teams that finished 1-2-3, all aced round 1 and got the 2 extra point for being registered. Encouraged the other 3 teams to register and join us every Wednesday.
A new team called Crew Without A Clue was one of the newbies and proved that they did indeed have a clue and played a very nice game with a 3rd place finish.
Round 3 saw Drink Milk Cause OJ Kills double and miss which put them in bit of a hole cause Great Minds Drink Alike had a strong 36 points heading into Round 4.
For the free beer round we played "Stick The Landing" (bouncing pencils into cups) and yours truly got to join in. The pencils were flying and the cups were falling but in the end Drink Milk Cause OJ Kills took home the coveted 4 pack of fresh brew!
Rounds 5 and 6 saw the top 3 teams all double and get it right! I had never seen that before it was quite fun.
In the end the strong consistent play of Great Minds prevailed but Drink Milk and Crew gave them a good run.
Sam's Family was with us as they have been from the beginning and always good to see them and get to pet Sam the service dog.
