About Strand Brewing Co

Founded with the support and love from friends and family in 2009, Strand was one of the first craft breweries in Los Angeles County.

Strand is not only proud to represent the beginning of the craft beer movement in LA, but the future of it as well. The brewery is located on the southern coast of Los Angeles County, nestled amongst the sleepy beach communities collectively known as The South Bay.

Strand Brewing Company is owned and operated by lifelong friends Rich Marcello and Joel Elliott.

It was a poppin' Wednesday with 20 teams playing! It's always great to see familiar faces too!

Tokyo 2020 edged out the win with Pandamonium in second, but third place called for the rare tiebreaker question! Pacific Rim Job guessed closer and stole the third place spot from Quizzin Our Pants. 

Also of note was the Find the Connection round, which I assumed was going to be super tough - silly me, you are all smarty pants! Most teams nailed the Super Mario Bros connection. Kudos!!

Special shoutout to Onionluvr1, who managed to reach the elusive -1 point by getting every question wrong through round 4. They made a comeback though and regained positive point status, ending with 6!

A great night made greater by a rad Philly Cheesesteak food truck and a delightful cookie-themed round that left MANY teams with solid scores after round 3!

Round 5's "Great" connection round wasn't as easy as the "Alcohol" round from last week, but it provided the points to set apart the winning teams.

Round 6 was TOUGH AS NAILS! Few teams scored any points, which means round 7's NATO country list was a true kicker.

So many teams returned from last week, which is great to see as a QM - I hope you all keep coming back now that we are in LEAGGUEE PLAAAY! Hooray!

The new online scoring system means MOAR REGISTERED TEAMZ so it's going to get even more competitive when the end of the year rolls around - which makes everything more interesting!
