QUIZ RECAP

It was a tough night of trivia on a Tuesday at Longship brewery. Thankfully the brew was good and the trivia was entertaining. Only one team gambled the double or nothing in a round and hit it and only one team gambled and missed it.

It was team Indifferent Penguins for the second week in a row who took home the first prize with 58 points. The second place team, calling out the Indifferent Penguins with the title The Team In First Place is Cheating! was the only team to hit the double or nothing and it spiraled them into the second place with a total of 50 points. Team Blue Barracudas, who were lurking and playing conservative all game, came in third with a total of 48 points.

There were several new teams that placed pretty well overall and I hope they continue to come and play. Teams like Shivering Timbers, Pugs not Drugs, and Shark Week.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a small crowd of trivia, but we still had nine teams, five of which were newly developed teams. It was the Indifferent Penguins who went double or nothing in two rounds and hitting both that ultimately gave them the overall win with 51 points total.

There was a three team tie for second, so we had to go to the tie breaker question, the teams that came the closest to the number of miles in the answer took home the second and third place prizes on the evening. The tie was between teams Shortboat Winery, MOOPS, and Hawaiian Time. Team Hawaiian Time called their answer in, having already left for the evening, but they were the furthest from the correct answer. Team Moops came the closest in the guess, taking home second, giving Shortboat Winery the third place prize.

I hope to see more teams this next week and be more creative on how to do the free drink round. The trivia just keeps getting better and better and the fun never stops. Come to Longship Brewery where they have great beer, every Tuesday for the best trivia around.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a slow night, my guess is that everyone decided to drink at home after paying the high rent and mortgage payments we all have in California.

There were only seven teams on the night, two created by me before the game started. One guy at the bar, which I called John the Magnificent. Trivia can be hard with only one brain and he placed really well, so kudos to John, hopefully he creates his own team in the future and soars through the king trivia world.

Three of the teams jumped out to big leads with their double or nothing bets in the first round. All feeling very confident about the general knowledge round.

The Blue Barracudas team, who usually finishs in the top three, decided to bet double or nothing in the final three straight rounds, costing them many points as they missed a few on each.

Team Pickle Rick hit on two double or nothing rounds and was pretty consistent on the other rounds giving them the win on the night with a total of 79 points. Congrats to team Pickle Rick.

Team Did we Win and Norse Code weren't far behind in second and third with 65 and 61 points, with Norse Code not ever using the double or nothing on a round and Did we Win, hitting on it twice.

I did a free drink round, the best drawing of my dog Chloe, who I brought to trivia. Team Smartie Panties had the best one and took home the free flight of beer. I will continue to come up with creative ways each week for the free flight of beer, everyone loves free beer.

I hope to see more teams next week as we make more drinking money in the next week.
