It was an awesome week with great trivia to challenge even the smartest minds out there. Breezing through the first three rounds with ease, all the teams were close in score until Big Fact Hunt decided to double or nothing the third round. This gave them a big lead going into the later rounds, but 4 Balls and a Guitar and Blue Barracudas weren't far behind the entire game.
Congratulations to Big Fact Hunt for winning the first prize scoring over 70 total points.
4 Balls and a Guitar even doubled their 7th round, but did not score enough and finished second behind the way too smart for their own good team Big Fact Hunt, which I had to delicately pronounce the entire night.
Not far behind them for third place was last week's winner Blue Barracudas, who doubled their 1st round, but really bombed in round 3rd, where they only scored 4 out of 6. At least they got Bootylicious right, where most teams didn't.
We had an exciting dance off between rounds 4 and 5 that featured two brave souls who got low, low for the crowd and both received a free drink.
I hope to see more teams next week for free drinks and great prizes at the awesome Longship Brewery.

It was my first time being a quizmaster for King Trivia and it was a blast by all. I kept reeling in the questions and the room vibrated with thoughts and small chatter. The overall game was close throughout the rounds and even me pronouncing most of the team names wrong, the players stayed focused with their eyes on the prizes.
I completely forgot the free drink round, so next week there will be a dance off for two free drinks!
Congratulations to the Blue Baracudas, the winning team for the night! The game came down to the Blue Baracudas, who weren't so blue, after getting a total of five more points then the spicy team, Indifferent Penguins, who came in second place. In third, not far behind the whole way was the undetectable Norse Code!

There was an explosion of teams at Longship Brewery tonight. Fourteen teams rowed their longboats to the docks, sallied forth, and took to the trivia arena. The competition was fierce, and the excitement did not disappoint.
Not only was there an explosion of teams, but there was an explosion of points. Fourteen seemed to be the theme of the evening, as four teams started off the game with fourteen points right in the first round. The double or nothings were in full force as seven teams hit perfect scores in round two for double points. It was almost hard to keep up with the lead changes.
Popcorn Shrimp took an early lead and would battle tooth and nail to hold on it till the bitter end. They were harried and pestered by the Blue Barracudas and the PQ Legends. Crowd favorites...to some...Indifferent Penguins, hung around and kept clawing back as best the could, considering penguins don't really have claws.
In the end:

1st Place: The Indifferent Penguins
New team, T-RANe won the beer round. We are going to be taking a trip to Pennsylvania, so we asked our teams to correctly spell some of the interestingly named town in our home state:
