About Longship Brewery

Since the 9th century, the Viking longship has been a symbol and a vessel of exploration, trade, and cultural exchange. The pride of the nordic people was their ability to cross the oceans in ways that no other people had done before. With the curiosity of the unknown, this guided them to uncover the world's riches, solidifying their place in history.

After a week off for Independence Day celebrations, the games were back on at Longship Brewery. The heat didn't stop 8 teams from competing for the prize, with local fan favorites, Chuck's The Best taking top honors with a whopping 63 points.

They will be back next week to defend their crown. Who will come challenge them?

It was a tough week of trivia for many teams at Longship Brewery. Several times the Double or Nothing option was ventured forth, but many times the painful lesson of risk vs. reward was learned. It didn't let the team's spirits fall though, as everyone was having a blast with good drinks and food, showcasing their knowledge.

Chuck's the Best came in third place, with newcomers The Googlers (don't worry, they didn't, we watched them) taking second.

For two weeks in a row, The Indifferent Penguins claimed the top spot. If the Penguins keep this up, they are poised to become the Emperors of their own trivia dynasty. Can anyone stop them?

Reminder, we're off Tuesday July 4th, but Longship Brewery will still be open. Visit their site for hours. We'll be back July 11th. Hope to see you then.

The night's teams all started off on even footing with 3 Degrees of Separation pacing as the clear leader through round five. They felt constant pressure from Chuck's the Best and Indifferent Penguins. However, Indifferent Penguins made use of two consecutive successful "Double or Nothing" plays, to overtake the lead and claim the victory by a mere four points. Newcomers, Tigers, did win the bonus drink round, scoring well in the amount of beer consumed column.

Can Indifferent Penguins return next week to start a winning streak? Or can another team remind these birds that they are unable to fly?
