With Quizmaster Charolette starting her Thanksgiving cooking early, it was time to call in the reserves...and I, Quizmaster Ruben aka Quizmaster Eyebrows, was ready to answer the call. And with my team, Brochachos and Chas, playing tonight, this Quizmaster hoped they would come in last. (I want them know that I am the team MVP!!)
Newcomers Big Dummies and The Aguileras did well for their first time and were surprised by how much trivia they knew. We hope to have them back next week!!
Brochachos and Chas grabbed the early lead after successfully doubling down and knowing their famous Jasons. I guess you can say they were Jas-soning for first place. (That was a bad dad joke).
The real drama came during the matching round as two teams had all the answers correct but were afraid to double down. The Leftovers, on the other hand, confidently doubled down only to learn that Forest City is in fact Cleveland. We can't blame them for trying (but we can still blame Ian). All was not lost for the Leftovers as they were able to salvage a free appetizer after playing Quizmaster's Charolette's favorite game Hi/Lo.
But your winners for the night we're Brochachos and Chas proving that this quizmaster can keep focusing on quizmastering. Until next time... stay classy!!

Whether you scored 80 points or 10 tonight, EVERYONE had a significantly better night than Mason Rudolph (AND Myles Garrett, for that matter).
Our King Trivia players scored really high tonight -- if you didn't successfully double down at least once, you had no chance of taking home any TGIF prizes. Wingstop flavors was probably the most difficult round for out teams, and that's even considering on average, everyone knew 7/10 sauces and rubs! Besides that, everyone excelled on self-portraits, boy bands, Genghis Khan, book connections, and [oh God, I should hope] sex!
Master Debators struggled trying to place, but with a little team effort (and some luck that Meeseeks and Destroy doubled down incorrectly on the last round), they took home third place AND a free appetizer/dessert for not choking, vomitting, or speaking incoherently at a game of "Chubby Bunny"!
The fun came down to scores between Don't Suck and Brochachos and Chas. The two teams were on the same brainy wavelength, being neck-in-neck until Brochachos pulled ahead by one measly chicken-wingy hair!
The battle of the regulars unfolded at TGI Fridays tonight, with Meeseeks looking to keep their one-time winning streak, Brochachos looking to ensure a group of owls would not be their sole downfall, and A Lonely Dane looking to prove that more heads aren't always better than one.
Perfect scores and double downs on general knowledge, metals and medals, Judy Garland, and apple connections were in full swing. While most everyone was stumped by some hairstyles (fun fact: "The Karen" isn't a real name) and moon names, everyone scored insanely high and took home their respective appetizer/dessert coupon prizes.
Meeseeks and Destroy got a bonus appetizer/dessert coupon for destroying Brochachos and Chas in a game of High/Low, in spite of Ian being explicitly told to not screw it up. It was then Brochachos informed me that a group of baboons is called an Ian, which really does make perfect sense. 😛
