It was a great night to play King Trivia if you knew famous figures portrayed by famous actors, directional words, TV character professions, and Summer Olympic medals per country.

Was a bit of a rougher night if you banked on Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire as tonight's Guess Who? only to be duped by Dick van Dyke, or if you doubled down on Round 3 thinking "fourscore" was the same as a "fortnight," or the Four Tops were the Jersey Boys. Team M, Fair Dinkum, and Shade University bombed these two rounds in a row, making it impossible to come back to place. BUT, could've been worse... you could be Clayton Kershaw!

Meeseeks And Destroy came in fourth (by less than 3 points!), but they beat everyone else out for a free appetizer/dessert coupon during an intense game of High/Low, so it wasn't quite a disaster.

New players Cavaliers WERE just here for the football game, but they won $10 by sticking around, listening to me talk, and knowing just a smidge more than half of tonight's teams. After a devastating double-down faux pas in Round 3, Brochachos & Chas correctly doubled down on TV professions, which ultimately contributed to their $20 win. But the ultimate champion, who beat out the competition all by himself (with at least 80% accuracy on all rounds), was Don and the Giant Impeach! There was no "fake news" about him going home with $30!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 10011 Don and the Giant Impeach 59 6 1.000
2 10082 Brochachos and Chas 55 5 0.833
3 Cavaliers 51 4 0.667
4 18015 Meeseeks and Destroy 49 3 0.500
5 22969 Shade University 47 2 0.333
6 23184 Fair Dinkum 30 1 0.167
7 Team M 26 0 0.000

It was a great night for Dodger fans (even Team Dodgers didn't mind going home empty-handed, knowing the Nationals got slaughtered!), Seahawks fans, and King Trivia fans who dared to double down a whole buncha times!

Don't Suck did a fantastic job of massacring the competition, scoring what is probably their best to date. To add insult to injury, they even tied with Meeseeks And Destroy and Let The Wookie Win in our Survey Slam free appetizer/dessert round, then tied with Meeseeks And Destroy for the Survey Slam tiebreaker question, AND THEN had to square off in a quick game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" to claim their victory. They were ruthless! They were unstoppable! They were un-suckable!

No one else really thought they'd take home first place after that, so the real fun came down to watching Meeseeks And Destroy and Let The Wookie Win come in neck-in-neck for the majority of the game. The Wookies pulled ahead at the final round, knowing their Geico connections much better than Meeseeks, which brought the two teams to a tie for the second place prize. Meeseeks swears up and down they were going to write that "Lost" had 121 episodes produced, but went with 88 instead, whereas after some serious brainstorming, the Wookies arrived at a near perfect guess of 120 -- earning $20 in TGIF gift cards by a hair!

Great job to all our teams! <3

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 22302 Don't Suck 81 3 1.000
2* 18121 Let The Wookie Win 35 1 0.500
2 18015 Meeseeks and Destroy 35 1 0.500
4 Team Dodgers 12 0 0.000

Our King Trivia players had a much better night than everyone who came to TGI Fridays to root for the Packers or to see Avonte Maddox make it all the way through to end of the game.

Salty Crew left after the fourth round, but at least leaving happy that had some extra entertainment while they watched the game. This left Meeseeks and Destroy in third place, scoring low on historical events during various presidencies and top-selling US albums. But they can at least brag they were the only team to figure out Gloria Vanderbilt was tonight's Guess Who? (even if they did only manage it by the very last clue).

New players Team M had just enough of a lead on Meeseeks that a wrong Guess Who? didn't slow them down. They excelled in their historical events and "baby" connections, which was enough to take home second place, and hopefully a new regular team!

Shade University was the one that took the whole venue by storm, immediately kicking things off with a Christian Bale movie double-down, and almost having perfect scores on their "baby" connections and square number themes. If going home with first place wasn't enough, they also got a free appetizer/dessert coupon to TGIF for winning at our High/Low card game. So much shade, we had to wear sunglasses!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 22969 Shade University 44 3 1.000
