QUIZ RECAP

We had some challenging rounds tonight, but despite a few of you not remembering the Alamo, you all did splendidly!

Happy Hour Heroes went home with the second place winnings for having all their ducks in a "row," spending far too much time watching medical shows, and knowing where they shouldn't move if they don't want to go broke.

Eat Me, I'm a Danish spent half the game as "Eat Me, Tim & David," because your Quizmaster forgot how to read for a sec. While double downs were scarce, save for their random knowledge, they were particularly impressive in identifying the birthdays of some of the world's most famous paintings. They took home all the glory that comes with first place winnings.

Special shout out to everyone in the bar for not flogging the Patriots-hating Angel fan! It's always a delight not getting booed out of a restaurant. 🙂

Things were heating up between Kanye 2020 and There's Always Room for Jail-O for the first place prize of three free appetizers, as well as between the Pogis and Cowboys to see who would snatch away the third place prize of one free appetizer.

After two perfect scores in Rounds 4 and 6, and two successful double downs in Rounds 1 and 5, There's Always Room for Jail-O very kindly and gracefully massacred the competition, leaving them barely alive. But this wasn't Kanye 2020's first rodeo -- they still doubled down on Round 1 and aced Rounds 4 and 5, so they got to go home with the second place prize of two free appetizers.

The Pogis gave up on their musical antagonist knowledge completely, so all seemed lost for them, until Cowboys lost all faith in their UN/EU knowledge. This caused the Pogis to barely pull through and bask in their third place glory.

King Trivia rocked the dining area once more so the Browns could have their spotlight. Several teams came and went, but It Takes 2 (For The Last Time), Deuces Wild, and Sooners are forever [in my heart].

Sooners knew their banned wedding songs like the back of their hand, and that was really all they needed to take home the third place prize. Deuces Wild were phenomenal with their Full House connections, and despite a double-down mishap in Round 3, they still walked home with the second place prize, PLUS a free appetizer during a riveting, slightly intoxicating game of High/Low. It Takes 2 For The Last Time lied to me last week, and officially showed their beautiful faces for the last time (they promised). We discovered their weakness is most anything social media-related, but regardless, they still slaughtered all other hopeful teams in the process, and taking home the gold.

We had free appetizer/dessert coupons instead of gift cards tonight, which are just as valuable -- go crazy with the nosh, my lovely King Trivia winners!
