QUIZ RECAP

It was a quiet night; bit unusual compared to the last few weeks. But I suppose that means your chances of going home with a gift card and/or free food only increase! The smashing good fun is always guaranteed.

We were joined by new King Trivia players Genera Fam and old King Trivia players (but fresh competition to TGI Fridays) BFWBF. They struggled a bit with comic strip characters and UFOs, but didn't stop them from having a good time. Meeseeks and Destroy started off ready to rock and roll, and did pretty well on most rounds, but couldn't quite answer enough to properly double down.

Brochachos and Chas took home the third place prize by three points, as well as a free appetizer/dessert coupon for coming up with the funniest possible redaction in the Mueller report (Trump's unit doesn't look like Toad -- it looks like Bowser!). Mr. ShittyAsshole -- sorry, I mean, Poopybutthole also came sooo close to potential double downs, but just couldn't quite grasp an entire round. BUT, still no Beyonce questions, so they stood a fighting chance.

Our ultimate champions were our gaggle of The Peeps, who distracted everyone with their marshmallowy goodness while they correctly doubled down on their comic strip characters, flapping their way into success. Kudos to you nasty-tasting-yet-visually-appealing victors!

Everyone trivia-ing did a fantastic job tonight! ALL teams were kept on their toes.

With a 50/50 guess, Party of One was betrayed by Bill Walton in our Guess Who? round. This, unfortunately kept him tied with Meeseeks and Destroy's disastrous baseball card round at the bottom of the barrel, instead of shooting him to what would eventually have been third place. But he did get to take home a free appetizer/dessert coupon for being the ultimate Rock, Paper, Scissors champion tonight, which is better than going home emptyhanded at all.

Master Debaters started off strong, but their Guess Who? betrayal by Wilt Chamberlain also kept them from at least maintaining a third place ranking. Brown-Eyed Girls were not to be bested by Kareem -- they nailed him at the 10-point clue, but it was not enough to push them towards a gift card.

Even with a "First Ladies" double down disaster, Dan still knew enough in his other rounds to take home a $10 TGI Fridays gift card. $20 winners Lieutenant Dan's Legs returned after a crazy long hiatus to successfully double down on their Boston connection, as did ultimate champions and King Trivia sharks, Mr. Poopybutthole.

One more day until the weekend... we can do it!

Mr. Poopybutthole's stench frightened the others into submission! Brochachos & Chas chugged their way into free food! And The Duke Silver Backing Band was fantastic, fresh competition for all the regulars!
