QUIZ RECAP

John Adams noted in his diary that the second of July "will be celebrated, by succeeding generations, as the great anniversary festival." He then wrote in the margin, "and on July 5th, everyone should play King Trivia at The Oaks Tavern. It's gonna be wicked awesome!" Tonight, we fulfilled our patriotic duty!

Kim Makes Pizzas. She Really Does overcame a combined Guess Who? and Matching Round score of -1 to win first place. Genetics, the evening's runners-up, were one of only two teams to correctly decipher the Find the Connection Round. Ten points in the Matching Round propelled The Grassy Knoll Cowards into third place.

The Drinking Round was won by Quiz-Knows who correctly guessed that Stormy Spaniels would be a great name for the former president's pet.

Join us again next week because, as John Quincy Adams said, "Do what my dad says or he'll make you grow huge sideburns. They're so itchy!"

Drinks and tacos and King Trivia made for a great evening at The Oaks Tavern!

Bratz Gurlz displayed their musical knowledge with successful Double Or Nothings in tonight's two rock 'n' roll-tinged rounds. Colin's Angels scored a perfect 20 points in the Matching Round. Kim Makes Pizzas. She Really Does overcame a zero-points General Knowledge Round to finish in third place.

The Jon Hamm-themed Drinking Round was won by Ceviche. Unfortunately, Jon Hamm did terribly in the Ceviche-themed Drinking Round.

QUIZ RECAP

King Trivia at The Oaks Tavern was more powerful than a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes who is the son of Randi and went to Whitehouse High School. You'll never guess who the Guess Who? Round was about.

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink left the General Knowledge Round in first place and held onto it until the Final Round. bratz gurlz hit a successful Double Or Nothing in the Matching Round to come within one point, then tied On Wednesdays We Wear Pink at the end. The Tiebreaker resulted in bratz gurlz winning the first place prize. They now have more The Oaks Tavern gift certificates than Patrick Mahomes.

Third place went to Genetics who threw fewer interceptions than Patrick Mahomes did in week 2 of the 2021 season versus Baltimore.

Atomic Broccoli won the Drinking Round which (surprise!) was Patrick Mahomes-themed.
