QUIZ RECAP

With the new 7:30pm start time, trivia at The Oaks Tavern started a bit slow, but by the second round the entire crowd was comisserating together about the nightmare inducing mime pictures. Even with a couple minor tech issues, teams were playing their best and earning points left and right. 

The 5th found proved especially challenging, but teams with gamers came out swinging on Find the Connection as well as the 6th round. After a quick round of "Oldest Coin," Oedipus and the Family Band's penny from 1964 earned them a round of mai tai shots.

In the end Oedipus and the Family Band took first place, followed by Yerxes’ Disciples and Vaxxed, Waxxed, and Stealing Tesseracts.

QUIZ RECAP

The Oaks Tavern was buzzing with excitement for trivia as a good mix of new and veteran teams played for the coveted prizes. With five out of the 7 teams successfully doubling round 2, the win was anyone's, but in the Guess Who round only one team took 10 points, solidifying their lead: Tokyo MidDrift. 

Since the connection was quite challenging, the drinking round was pretty simple - DM the Quizmaster the cutest cat. Vaxxxed submitted a kiitten dressed as Princess Leia and won over Quizmaster Yael's nerdy cat-loving heart. The handout was tougher than the Picture Round, but no one won round 7 with the Whitney Houston songs and US Space Shuttles. Ultimately, Tokyo kept their lead, followed by Vaxxxed, and Genetic. 

Next week is another game and another chance to win, at the NEW earlier time of 7:30pm (instead of 8pm)

QUIZ RECAP

With teams playng both indoors and out, The Oaks Tavern was lively and excited for the competition. Less Awesome, More Sauced and Fry Brigade took an early lead, but it was Vaxxxed and Relaxxxed who suprised everyone - not only winning the drinking round, but earning first place at the end of the night. Dilly Dilly and Free Vaccines If Your Stream SOUR took second and third place, respectively, but honorable mention goes to Kaydencekingwaterrevival who only joining during round 3. Ultimately, it was the Pokemon in round 7 which weeded out the true nerds from the casual fans.
