’Twas brillig, and the 33 Taps
Did gyre and query in the wabe:
All mimsy were the Silver Lakes,
And the team raths outgrabe.

“Beware the Quizzywock, my son!
The clues that bite, the hints that catch!
Beware the Guess Who bird, and shun
The frumious Quiz Mastersnatch!”

He took his vorpal pen in hand;
Long time the manxome answer he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree
And drank a beer in thought.

And, as in drunkish thought he drank,
The Quizzywock, with pictures of hue,
Came whiffling through the tulgey bar,
And difficulty grew!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal pen went snicker-snack!
He answered it true, and doubled it too!
And went galumphing back.

“And hast thou slain the Quizzywock?
Come to my arms, Tried & Trivial boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his first place joy.

QUIZ RECAP

Woo!  What an incredible night of trivia at 33 Taps tonight! Huge crowd of regulars and new teams, and an amazing extra prize for first place: TWO TICKETS TO MONDAY'S CLIPPERS GAME!!!

The competition was fierce but we all had fun and laughs.  Tried & Trivial won themselves a free round of beers via random drawing after round 5, and at the end of the game, Hell-of-a-Bottom-Carter won the team name prize AND 1st place! Two of 'em are going to see the Clippers live on Monday!!

MURDER came in second place, and because we had so many teams playing, third place team Fear of Flying grabbed a prize, too!

QUIZ RECAP

GAME 7 of the World Series was a nail-biter, and didn't quite turn out the way everyone hoped, but one thing was made clear tonight: 33 Taps is the BEST sports bar in Los Angeles.  Even KTLA was on hand to verify that fact!  But it's not just sports!  It's all the other things they do to entertain and delight their patrons. Including hosting KING TRIVIA!

After the packed (and I mean PACKED) audience of Baseball fans started to thin out after the Dodgers loss, I rallied the crowd to bring up the mood, and a bunch of first-timers stayed to test their wits!

Regular team MURDER eked out another win after tying it up in the 4th round, then pulling ahead in Round 5.  They were ahead of second place team Golden Retrievers by 10 points, who were in turn ahead of third place team King and Queen, who learned a valuable lesson about the Double or Nothing.  If they hadn't been so bold in the last round, they would have taken second themselves!
