Somewhere, someone just got into USC for $200,000. Meanwhile at 33 Taps...

It was another rip roarin' fun evening of trivia scootin' and bootin'. In the end, the tireless Bean Counters continued their trivia tyranny and brought home another victory with a 76-point whopper.

Some other highlights:

-Someone thought Chris Rock voiced "Donkey" in Shrek. Do we let them keep living in that world, or should someone tell them?

-Olivia Jade Scholarship Fund wins best name this week. Also, they abbreviated it to "OJ Scholarship Fund" one round, and, well, that could be something very different.

-Congrats to Damian for becoming an Uncle!

33 Taps was popping off on Wednesday! 20+ teams were ready with that HEAT following the rainy day, and we had ourselves a night.

In the end, it was Tried and Trivial reclaiming the crown once again. Great job to everyone who participated, here's some highlights:

-I mispronounced not one, not two, but THREE team names. My apologies to Hollywood HoDAGS, Glenn Closer to FINE, and whatever the last one was.

-Zero Days Sober took home our drinking round by naming some U.S. Presidents. By some I mean, they literally could name all of them. Who could forget greats like John Tyler and William Henry Harrison?

-Once again, thanks to Great Wall Vagina for the excellent team name and even better team spirit. If you need a group of people to cheer for something, hire them.

QUIZ RECAP

Another Wednesday night, another packed house at 33 Taps. Local champs The Bean Counters were at it again, bringing in the W with 60 points. There was a strong showing of 30-point teams that all conceded defeat once arriving at the frighteningly hard final question about J.K. Rowling's books. No, not those books with the wizards and Hagrid. Books like "The Silkworm." Have you read "The Silkworm"? I didn't think so.

Anyway, here are some highlights:

-There are a surprising number of rappers who have a "double-m" name. Method Man, Mac Miller (RIP), Marshall Mathers...all great answers. Unfortunately it was Common (lol).

-One team which will not be named affectionately put "ur mom" as an answer every round. 10 points for consistency, 0 points for your actual score.

-People were so dumbfounded by that J.K. Rowling Question that nearly half the teams just started inventing fake titles of J.K. Rowling Books. Such great titles as, "Not Harry Potter" and "Hot Harry Potter." I don't know how this would work, but can that be a category?
