33 Taps in Silverlake  was rockin' as usual this week for Wednesday night trivia! Energy was high and spirits were soaring as people imbibed in great food, a huge selection of drafts, and some brain-tingling trivia!

We tried a new kind of drink round in honor of the previous evening's State-of-the-Union address, where I had every team write down the most insane thing that happened at the SotU that nobody was talking about! (made up thing, of course). Embassy Sweets won the free round of drinks with the news that the ventriloquist who operated the Mike Pence puppet fell asleep!! OMG! haha.

Scores were close in the end.  The Brady Bunch squeaked out a win over second place team The Male Rompers, while Chic-Fil-Gay grabbed the third place slot.

QUIZ RECAP

We had a fantastic night of trivia at 33 Taps, which is quickly becoming THE BEST place to spend your evenings on the East Side of Los Angeles!

Even though I forgot to bring a new supply of answer books, with Quizmaster-in-training Joseph by my side, we cut up some scratch paper for teams to use and the rest of the night went off without a hitch.

We had an unusually exciting luck and odds-based drinking round, where team representatives got a virtual dice roll from a random number generator, and had to guess whether the next number was higher or lower.  If they guessed wrong or the number tied, they were out! When we got to the final three, all three got out, so they all got another chance, and then the final two battled it out for several rounds before finally a victor emerged!

The big team of the night was Due in 3 Days, one of who's members really is due to give birth in 3 days!!  They only got 2 answers wrong the entire quiz, and even though they weren't bold enough to Double or Nothing a couple times, they easily walked (well, waddled) away with a victory! 🙂
