QUIZ RECAP

It was a packed night tonight and nary a table was spared! Sure, things started off with a bang with Casual American Cannibals and Tequila Mocking birds cinching that round 1 double down, but round 2 was where everyone got in the action. if teams missed a point, it was only one, with five teams scoring seven points and the other ten successfully doubling! All of the future winners found a home in that latter group.

Round 3 was pretty high scoring all in all as the stakes were lain bare. Round 4 ended up astounding the quizmaster and staff as again, Ten teams scored perfect tens, although the roster was shaken up a little from round 2. Five teams pulled far and away from the pack in round 5 with doubles, and round 6 ended up being more conservative with only Quiz in my Pants landing 20 points. Everyone played it safe for the final round, and rightly so, as there was not one perfect score.

There was no lack of celebration after the winners were announced as the mood reached a fever pitch among all participants.

Conservative start to a game at this venue, with no teams attempting to double- and mostly wisely so. That changed in round 2 when 4 teams reached for that brass ring and Birthday Party Satan, The Kids' Table, and Quiz Kid Donnie Smith were able to grasp it!

None of them were able to reapeat this for round three, and There's Always Next Week and BYOB had a chance to threaten the standings. Round 4 was brutal to those who answered early, but the mid-range found some satisfaction in the second and third clues. Round 5 was successful for Tequila Mockingbirds, launching from an unfamiliar trailing position, but outpaced in round 6 with six successful double downs, and a DEVASTATING round 7, with only three teams scoring points at all left the consistent Kids' Table at the top of the heap, followed by long-leaders Birthday Party Satan, and There's Always Next Week.

The lightning punctuated night filled with electricity made by spectacular trivia goers with spectacular scores. In round 1, teams had either perfect or near-perfect scores but no one doubled! That changed in the next round, with teams hardly missing any questions and three doubles from our bolder participants. There was a bit of a reality check in round 3 as teams either got perfect scores or missed only one question, that one turned out to be rather fateful, however and three teams goose egged when they should have strayed from doubling. You need to swatch out, folks and not TAG the wrong answer.

Round 4 played a little more conservative, and teams tagged the virgin billionaire with a healthy and tight bell curve. The leaders began to solidify by round 5, and actually the game was decided in round 6 because in round 7, every single remaining team doubled down successfully! That's right! It was insane! and made for some fun math. Every team scored 18 points and returned their pens which meant that with 2 exceptions, the places did not shift, and did not shift at all for this weeks' top three.
