About Grunions Sports Bar & Grill

Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. What a crowd tonight! Newcomers Kuddel Muddel swept in a took the first place prize, yet one of our strongest and steadiest teams, Team Plutonium, still landed in second place. Quiz in My Pants wrapped up in third, just barely edging out another newcomer, Fleetwood Mac Sexpants and Quiz Whalifa.

The last few rounds caused quite a bit of shakeups as many teams attempted to Double their points in Rounds 6 and 7. While it paid off for half the teams, it went sour for the others. We watched some teams lose their grasp on points, meanwhile Quiztopher Walken secured their place in the top 3. It came down to a tiebreaker round to determine our winner - and congrats to Team Plutonium for being the closest to the correct answer. Solid kudos or newcomers The Dynasty Duo who landed in 2nd. Also, great job to Play Boyz! for winning the drinking round challenge of knowing TV show theme songs... including Sex and the City. 😉

Well it was a very eventful final round, with three teams successfully Doubling their points and shaking up the predicted outcome. After a few weeks of just missing the top position, Daddy finally landed back in first place. And it had been awhile since we had heard from Diggle Bicks, but they also returned to their usual top 3 ranking, this time landing in second. And just 1 point behind them was the always-steady Team Plutonium. Thanks to the new teams that came out this week, and the former newcomers who have since become regulars! See you all next week.
