QUIZ RECAP

When four of the five teams successfully double in the first round, it might be a good indicator that it's going to be a close race -- at least, that was the case this week! Team Plutonium nabbed third place this week, with a very impressive immediate correct answer during the Guess Who? round. (Somebody knows a lot about the royal family.) Their total score was narrowly beaten by Diggle Bicks, which happened to be a one-man team this week! Not only did he score his way to second place, he also scored a pitcher of beer for the best pick-up line in our drinking round. First place this week went to Morgz' Baddies, whose steady progress and successful 20-point double earned them a total of 67 points.

Well done, teams! And hey, to quote Diggle Bicks: how much was the ticket? 'Cause you fine. 😉

It's those successful double-downs that will often launch you into the stratosphere as all three placing teams proved this week! Congratulations are in order for Team Plutonium once again, beating out Diggle Bicks by just one point. Running Late may have missed the first round, but a successful double in round 6 allowed them to catch up and ultimately earn third place.

QUIZ RECAP

Plutonium took home first place again tonight thanks to their lucky felt tip pen. Other teams are beginning to eye the pen as they walk by and I heard rumors there's at least one plan to snag it as sabotage.

The connection round went over pretty well tonight. The only exception was for those teams who thought with an Indian Jones connection, the Christ of the Ozarks would naturally be in Indiana instead of ARKansas.

For the bonus round we celebrated the return of the Michael, the owner of Grunions. He's been out with an apparent leg injury that was shrouded in mystery. Usually something like this comes as a result of something pretty scandalous that you aren't exactly forthcoming to reveal so our teams gave their best shot to figure out what really happened. There were a lot of theories, but the winning team correctly guessed it had to do with a mishap with a zombie lady of the night. We'll see what other mysteries we can solve next week!
