About Grunions Sports Bar & Grill

Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. Everyone loves when the mystery person turns out to be someone who spans generations. Tonight some knew Dolly Parton from being a very famous country star, but the younger crowd knew her from being the aunt from Hannah Montana. Go figure! Team Plutonium was thrilled to be back on the podium after a few less than ideal quiz nights the last few weeks, but they weren't the only one looking for a prize tonight. The Number Team did their best to fake their way into first with a creative team name change, but you have to wake up pretty early in the morning to fool this quizmaster.

The bonus round included a test of psychic abilities as we guessed which hand I was holding an object and the number team did much better than my dog usually does with this game. Maybe they ended up having more sway over me than I thought!
