About Grunions Sports Bar & Grill

Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. A bittersweet night as we said goodbye to one of our beloved teams who were Off to Vegas, but we said hello to Zach Attack for the first time! It came down to one point, but Zack Attack beat out Grunions veterans Team Plutonium to seal the victory.

We brought back some classic flavor for the drinking round as well and played an exciting round of Perfection! Stay tuned for next week when we get a full game of Monopoly going... or not.

It's rare we need a tiebreaker question at Grunions and even RARER to need a second tiebreaker, but we kept on coming up tied tonight. Quiztopher Walken's comic book knowledge proved supreme for the easy win, but the remaining teams severely overestimated how much Shaq's super hero movie Steel made at the box office.

Beers = delicious, people = smart, stickers = sticky? Too much fun at Grunions once again, including one of my favorite teams Rainbows and Air Vehicles who always include topical stickers along with their answer sheets. I could always use a good laugh while grading answer sheets so the personal touch is always appreciated!
